Boise vs. Hawaii

Last weekend we drove up to Hawaii with Chad & Katie for the Boise vs. Hawaii game. It was a really quick weekend but it was a lot of fun!

We drove up Friday - literally right after I got home from work. Chad and Katie had left Colorado early that morning and picked us up and kept driving! That's dedication!

The night before the game we had to run to Walmart because I forgot to pack pajamas. The Walmart in Boise has it's own little Boise store inside - just packed with BSU gear. Brett picked up a pair of Boise shoes (his third pair of Boise themed footwear to date) and I actually got some BSU pajama pants which are awesome and quite comfortable.

If you ever have a chance to visit the Boise Walmart - you should - not just for the Boise gear either. It looked like they didn't have the traditional Walmart greeter so the cashier closest to the door took it upon himself and did both. You could hear him through the entire store - welcoming people to Walmart. Our favorite was while we were checking out we saw him tell a patron their total, "Your total is 24...WELCOME TO WALMART!!!...95." It was pretty funny.

The morning of the game we got the much anticipated pleasure of shopping for new Boise gear - we visited the Boise Bookstore - which was a great day for Brett. He picked up a jersey he's had his eye on ever since they unveiled it during the Virginia Tech game. (There goes one of my Christmas gift ideas...) They had Boise themed EVERYTHING! Including things like cookie cutters in the shape of the Bronco logo and grilling sets with the logo on the handle. We also saw some of these beauties:

We waited in line for the North End Zone for a little over an hour so we could get the AWESOME sign Brett worked on featuring Mr. T with an orange mohawk.

It says: Take it from Mr. T. 1. Pity the BCS, 2. Respect Boise, Chumps! and 3. Moore 4 Heisman, Sucka!
Then on the side it says Boise State Proven Contenders in the ESPN letters. (ESPN U was covering the game. It didn't get on TV as planned but that's ok - it was still plenty awesome.

Boise beat Hawaii 42 to 7 - it was a good game and watching a game on the blue turf is always a fun experience. Now onto see how this season plays out - whether or not we'll be heading to a Bowl game or even a Championship. (I'm crossing my fingers for Championship or Fiesta Bowl...c'mon Tempe!!)

Also my condolences to the Utes...I think that's all that needs to be said.
