Nostalgia

I've been in the process of organizing our storage closet. I was motivated to do so when I realized I had no idea where our wedding photos went. I know they're on a CD...somewhere. Our laptop got a virus and in order to save it we had to wipe everything and start over...and the wedding photos were uploaded on the laptop.

So I went to look for them. I still haven't found them, even though I've gone through everything in our storage closet and then some. I guess I should be really grateful that I know my Mom has a copy of all the wedding photos too...

But what I did find were a bunch of the old kid photos from our "Wedding Slideshow." I've been laughing at them ever since I uploaded them onto our desktop.

So because we're still kinda boring and there really isn't anything new to report or blog about:

Enjoy some funny/ awkward photos of our youth!

Smith Family photo circa 1985? 1986?

Smith Family at the Grand Canyon

Jen & Brett at Bob's Big Boy, apparently having a great time.

I think this was Kindergarten...I think.

This awesome hair picture was brought to you by Hot Shots Dance Company. I was in the "Tiny Tots" class.

I'm not sure how old Brett is here but I'm pretty sure that's a goat he's petting.

Norton Family 1992? Maybe 1993?

Halloween. We're M & M's, my older brother is the prison inmate and my cousin Hailey is a mermaid. I remember the costume she's wearing because it was mine from the year before and it was my absolute favorite. (The stink eye I'm giving my Mom was because taking this picture was cutting into trick-or-treating time.)

The Frizz of the early 90's. Also the beginnings of what would later result in braces. And that bow...I had ones that were much bigger.

This is Brett & his cousin Erik, who is lovingly still referred to as "The Boy" to this day. This picture makes Brett laugh because "The Boy" looks so shifty! I believe this was taken at Lake Tahoe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is Brett & Max. Brett had many adventures with this dog.

Smith Family Picture. I'm not sure what year this was taken. Sorry!

This was my senior year at the Riverton Days Parade. Yes, we rode around behind a truck in a boat. Please keep in mind this is a small town.

Brett with his surfboard. He told me that he had to sell that before his mission. He doesn't like to talk about it.

The "Senior Letterman Jacket" pictures. Mine and...

Brett's.

This is...a long story. Please ask Brett, Shane, or Erik about this. Brett's in the red shirt and I believe his name for the evening was "Boosh-mal."

The summer before Brett left on his mission, he lived with his Grandma Smith, or "Mo-Mo" in Provo. He says that every afternoon he and his cousins would meet there and eat a large bowl of fruity pebbles like shown above. I'm also told there were always waffles, boost health drinks, sausages, and mini Shasta's in kiwi strawberry. Afterward I'm told they'd take naps in la-z-boy recliners and watch "The Natural." These are very fond memories of Brett's.

Brett & Max.

And of course, the token missionary picture. He probably won't be happy that I've included this but I had to.

That's all for now. There were a lot more, including one of Brett in a speedo. But I'll do everyone the favor of keeping that to ourselves.
