A couple weeks ago I decided to make hamburgers for dinner. I planned on using the ground beef I had in the freezer so I took it out a couple hours before I planned on making dinner so it would thaw from a solid rock of hamburger.
Well this big block of hamburger needed way more than an two hours. Hind sight is 20/20 and I should have let it sit in some cold water, but needless to say it had barely thawed at all. This huge roll was too big to be put in the microwave so I began to try and saw off a piece to use. That didn't work.
And if you know Brett, by this point he was hungry...and when Brett's hungry - he does not wait. So he came in to take care of the problem.
With his huge knife.

Hunting knife and a rolling pin to hammer it in there. Yes, it dented my rolling pin so before any more damage was done I found the hammer for him.

It took about 20 minutes and I'm positive the noise probably bothered our neighbors but Brett got the job done with the trusty knife and hammer.
