Not dead

I don't have pictures to update on what we have been up to lately, but last month we had a quick trip to Colorado to visit Chad, Katie and the kids.  Brett took more days off and drove up on the Tuesday before I left.  I flew in Friday afternoon.  So by the time I met up with them I had missed out on a lot of the week's fun, but that's ok we had a great time together.

I should mention that I do have pictures on my phone of our trip...but Chad made me promise to delete them.  So I'll just leave it at that.  There certainly wasn't any bored moment's in JC Penney where Chad tried on a few frilly women's tops.

We tried out Dave & Buster's for the first time and left with the impression that it's kind of a scam.  The ticket-counting/ weighing idea is a joke, in my opinion but the good news was that the steak tacos were really good.  We had some fun though.  We spent some time at the local pool and I only got sunburned in weird strips that somehow were missed by sunblock.  That happens every single time - without fail.  But I now have a tan strip by my armpit which is good.  Brett got sunburned at a work function before he left and then burned himself again at the pool.  He was the poster child for sunblock, but he is quite tan now.

We took some time and went to the Park Meadows Mall and had some fun double dates.  Katie and I went to a couple of really awesome workout classes so I didn't feel so lazy all weekend long.

Brett had some fun with everyone before I got there, they had some good grilling and went to the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs.  They hung out and Brett was dared to run out and jump on the tramp in marble-sized hail.  He fell on the tramp and was drenched from head to toe, but a dare is a dare, right? I saw the video and Brady loves a good fall like the next guy, his chuckles were hilarious.

We sat by the fire pit and loved it so much that we made a vow to have one in the next place we live in.  Campfires are so awesome in the summer.  So are grills, we really miss having a working grill right about now.

Unfortunately that has been the last eventful thing that's happened recently.  We've been trying to plan out camping some time this summer and we're also getting excited for next month's vacation to California!  So there's not a whole lot going on now, but there should be more soon.
