Get ready

It's the start of College Football season this week.

This is a very big week in the Smith Home. It's a big week for most of Brett's family. For those of you who don't know my husband, he's a huge Boise State fan. Both his older brother and sister went and graduated there and while he was accepted, he didn't go. All three of the Smith Children are big...no, HUGE fans. Since marrying into the family I've been to a game and a Fiesta Bowl and own various BSU gear...which will only double in size. Yes, I grew up a U of U fan, but since they play in a different conference it's ok for me to be a double-fan. (It IS, Brett!!)

Brett is a super fan. And he's pretty much given himself an ulcer over this upcoming season.

You see - they're Preseason ranked #3. This is huge. It means that if they "Run the Table" or basically win every one of their games they have a chance to play in the championship. It's pretty political once you get into it - but there's a chance.

And their first game is against Virginia Tech. They're a good team and as always Boise is the underdog - BUT they're returning with all of their starters from last year - and their defense is looking pretty strong. Plus - Boise likes to be the underdog, it works well in their favor. We're expecting a close game.

In case any of you were wondering it will be September 6th. Labor Day and also my little brother, Chase's 24th birthday. It will be a pretty huge day...filled with tension and sweat on Brett's part. And lets face it - Brett's brother and his family will be in town...it'll be a nail-biter for all.

Basically - keep your fingers crossed!

Go Broncos.

In an unrelated note: Kaitlyn leaves for the MTC on Wednesday. More on that later, but to keep up on her mission and how she's doing she set up a blog:

http://www.kaitlynkae.blogspot.com/. I'll be in charge of updating that and making sure everyone knows what's going on with "Hermana Norton." Check it out!
