Tahoe Day 2

 Day two was filled with Golf.  The American Century Celebrity Golf Championship.  What this meant was the men folk took off bright and early to gawk at celebrities.  Ella came along too.  The guys thought it was a good idea to have a cute little girl to help get autographs.  Messed up?  Well Ella knew what she was in for.

The guys traveled over there via shuttle:

Actually Brady dubbed Shane "Shay" for most of the vacation.

The guys followed everyone for quite some time.  Chad & Ella decided to call it a day after a few hours.  Shane and Brett kept going and waited the whole thing out.  During the process he got to pose with and get autographs from a lot of celebrities:

That RVCA shirt Brett was wearing was the first and only time he got to wear it.  It was later ruined by a crazy sharpie-wielding fan who got a little carried away when he was chasing someone down for an autograph.  And well...the sharpie was permanent ink.

And of course...Michael Jordan.

This was the entire reason Brett went.  Brett followed Michael around for the entire tournament.  Especially after they found out that Michael wasn't going to sign autographs until after the tournament was over.  Brett said while he was following him he yelled out to Michael Jordan and said, "Michael Jordan - give me a high five!!"  And Michael gave him an air five because he didn't want to walk all the way over.

That's right - Brett got an air five from Air Jordan.

After the tournament Brett waited for his autograph.  Unfortunately Michael was trying to multi-task and wasn't looking at what he was signing and for who - he just grabbed, signed and threw back. Shane got an autograph but Brett got skipped.

Some other funny things that happened:

When Lou Holtz was walking by Brett asked him what his prediction was for the national championship and he said Florida State vs. Oklahoma.  

Herm Edwards sat around and talked with the guys for a while and they were really impressed with how nice and down to earth he was.  He even signed Phil's fanny pack!

The guys thought it was funny that instead of hang around and ask for every celebrity's autograph, they'd ask for someone random's autograph - just to keep things funny.  They found out that they were standing next to Jimmer Fredette's fiancee and decided they should get her autograph too.  She thought they were funny.  And probably a little weird.

Overall they came home sunburned and dehydrated but they got some great stories.  

The rest of us went to do a little shopping while the guys were gone.  Katie somehow forgot her swimsuit bottoms so we went to find a swimsuit for her.  Because you can't go on vacation to Lake Tahoe without a swimsuit.  We drove into Carson City and found swimsuits for Katie & Alexis.  

Everyone else just relaxed for the rest of the day.  After the guys all came back we had dinner.  Then the guys decided that they were going to try to go celebrity hunting again.  While they didn't see as many celebrities as the night before - they still spotted a few.

As always Charles Barkley was in a tipsy mood and kept buying the crowd a round.  Unfortunately the guys had to decline.
