Brady went with Brett to pick the boat up and he tested out the front of the boat and decided it was a great place to sit.
Brett was our boat driver for most of the day - he did a great job!
We stopped off in Emerald Bay near the Vikingsholm to have some lunch at a picnic table. We watched a squirrel run off with the bread of Brady's sandwich.
After lunch we decided it was high time to test out the tube.
Brady's still a little too small to go by himself and since they gave us one that wasn't quite for adults, he sat it out and cheered everyone else on.
But Lexi gave it a try!
I think she's trying to put her thumb down to signal that she's ready to slow down. Brett got a little carried away!
Brett decided to give the little kids tube a try anyway. He tried it on his back and then on his knees, both took a beating.
Then they decided to try out Chad's cool underwater video camera for a while. They got some awesome video with it all vacation!
You can see the camera strapped to Brett's chest.
Lexi swam a little too but the rest of us stayed on the boat knowing that the water is so icy cold, that it takes a good 10 minutes for your body to get used to it. And even then, I'm sure the only reason it's getting used to it is because it's the first stages of hypothermia.
Then we went cruising along the lake for a while because we had to get the boat back by 3 pm. Brady and Ella both gave driving a try. They also found the boat's horn and had fun with that.
By the time the boat went back, we were all worn out - the sun will do that to you. Most of us went back for naps but the kids went straight to the pool again.
Coming up: Night Swimming.
