Lake Tahoe: Night Swimming

Chad brought his really awesome GoPro Hero cam to Tahoe, and it can go anywhere.  It's an HD camera that can be strapped to your head or chest or just taken wherever.  It's so small and this year the guys had a lot of fun taking it everywhere with them.  They got some amazing video!

The camera also inspired new activities - like night swimming with glow sticks and filming it!!

So glow sticks were purchased!

We took them to the dock and they threw them in.  Lexi, Brett and Chad were the only ones participating, the rest of us came to watch.  I brought my camera and tripod and hoped to get some really cool pictures.  And some of them did end up pretty cool!

After the glow sticks were thrown in...

And here is what the camera caught!

After a little while I decided to use a flash so I could see where people were, also it doubled as a really quick flash light if they needed to see where the dock was really fast.  It was SO dark!

Brett flew in with his glow sticks.

The camera picked up the glow sticks much better than real life, you could barely see them through the water.

But the glow sticks were pretty cool to watch, at least through the camera.

More pictures to come!
