Vacation 2012: Rohnert Park & Bodega Bay

Our first night in Rohnert Park was relaxing, just going around the town and hitting popular spots from Chad & Brett's childhood.  We hung out at the house and enjoyed relaxing.

The next day we headed out to Bodega Bay.  Brett and I were engaged on Salmon Creek Beach at Bodega Bay so it's become a place we have to stop at each time we come to California.

We stopped for lunch at the Tides for some more clam chowder and then after headed to Patrick's for some "famous" Salt Water Taffy.  However, once inside we found it full of "Taffy Town" taffy, which is made in Salt Lake.  And we found Taffy Town taffy everywhere else too.  Including in the wrapped packaging claiming that it was local.  It would seem that Salt Lake supplied all the taffy.

We still bought a bag because, well, you have to at Patrick's.

Then we headed out to the beach so we could hang out and make a fire so we could have hot dogs and s'mores.

After a while, Brady was buried - which he seemed alright with.

Ella found an old crab leg which everyone played around with.

A couple of us took a little nap...or tried to.

In trying to dig a hole under Katie's chair, Brett actually knocked himself over after knocking Katie over - his was worse than hers so it backfired on him:

And Brady can't resist a moment when he can dog-pile Uncle Brett:

After that we headed over to our little fire where Chad and Brett tortured a couple seagulls and we ate some yummy burgers and s'mores.

This is Ella's mean mug face.

After we decided it was time to go, since Brady was good and covered in sand, he decided it would just be easier for him to change.  Because Brady isn't shy of what the Good Lord gave him, he stripped right there and decided this was how he wanted to hang out for a while, with nothing but a towel around his neck.

I did get pictures of his bare hiney...to give to his mother for his teenage years.  But not to be shared on a blog.

But this was his face while he was running around:

Next - San Francisco
